How to access services
Approaching a GP for a Mental Health Care Plan for an appointment with a Psychologist:
Phone your local GP Practice and ask the receptionist to book a double consultation with your doctor as you will be requiring a Mental Health Care Plan assessment.
Discuss your concerns with your GP and ask him/her to complete a Mental Health Care Plan (if you are eligible) so that you can access psychological services and receive a Medicare rebate.
If you are not eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan you may pay privately or use private health insurance if applicable. If you’re not sure please contact us and we can help you through what other options are applicable.
If you are eligible, you can call us on 5972 2444 or email us to book in an appointment.
Make sure you bring your Mental Health Care Plan to your first appointment.
Print a copy of the clinician you think may be suited and discuss with your GP.
Not sure who to see? Feel free to just ask.
Accessing the right treatment can be a confusing process. If you are unsure, please call us on 5972 2444 or email our friendly team at reception@vitahealthcare.com.au. It may also be useful to talk to your GP.
